In this virtual roundtable, four adult reconstruction surgeons discuss their experience with the Trivicta hip stem: Dr. Clint Wooten of Bountiful, Utah, who moderated; Dr. Justin Deen of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute; Dr. Todd Dietrick of Pasadena, California; and Dr. Adam Eudy of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The conversation covers the shift toward triple taper stem designs and how each surgeon approaches the Trivicta system, including broach progression, broach handles, calcar planers and the OrthoDrive impaction device. The panel also discusses head and neck options for matching limb length and offset, use of the stem through anterior and posterior approaches, and advice for surgeons preparing for their first cases.
Dr. Dietrick explains the sintered titanium bead and hydroxyapatite coating, and Drs. Wooten and Dietrick describe their roles on the stem’s design team.
The surgeons also share their experience working with ODEV, including the company’s collaboration with surgeons on product development.
ODEV thanks Drs. Wooten, Deen, Dietrick and Eudy for sharing their time and perspective. Watch the full roundtable below.
