Ortho Development Corporation (ODEV) executive management is working to monitor the risks associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As the health and safety of our employees, customers, and end-users is our top priority, we are continuously evaluating the latest facts from the public health agencies, such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), along with local, state, national and international governments.
Supply Chain and Raw Materials ODEV operations and quality management staff have been in constant contact with our raw material suppliers and service vendors for the last several weeks. At this time, we do not foresee any supply chain disruptions, nor have we had any reports to that effect. We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and notify customers proactively if any impact is identified.
Manufacturing and Facilities ODEV manufactures and packages medical devices and components in either highly controlled environments and/or ISO-certified cleanrooms. As a further precaution, and until further notice, we are restricting access to our facilities in Draper, Utah to business-critical visitors who will be asked to complete a short health screening. We reserve the right to decline visitation to any persons considered to be high-risk according to the latest recommendations and guidelines set forth by local, state, and national government agencies. In addition, we have implemented site-level training and procedures on comprehensive hygiene methods and practices to combat and minimize exposure to communicable diseases in both the office and manufacturing environments.
Travel Restrictions/Communicable Disease Policy On March 12, 2020, ODEV announced the following COVID-19 Work Policy, effective immediately.
- ODEV employees are not participating in any business-related travel. All international and domestic travel including group meetings, trade shows, conferences, etc. have been cancelled, or postponed to a later date or held via teleconference.
- ODEV has shifted all third-party meetings to remote functionalities where possible.
- Any ODEV employee whose primary job duties could be performed remotely, was asked to telecommute.
These guidelines will be evaluated and adjusted on a regular basis.
In challenging times like these we believe that caution, alertness, and communication are key to safeguarding and protecting us all against the uncertain. We remain committed to serving you to the best of our ability.
