First Balanced Knee® System surgery in the People’s Republic of China

DRAPER, Utah, August 10, 2018 - Ortho Development® Corporation (ODEV) is pleased to announce the first surgery using its Balanced Knee® System (BKS) in the People’s Republic of China. The surgery took place on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Taiyuan Central Hospital in Taiyuan, Shanxi province. Brent Bartholomew, President of Ortho Development said, “Our mission as a company is to help people do what they love by restoring mobility. Today we’ve improved the quality of life for the first BKS patient in China.”

In July 2017, ODEV announced the signing of an exclusive distribution agreement with China Pioneer Pharma Holdings, Limited (CPP) for the BKS in the People’s Republic of China. Bartholomew stated, “After several months of working through the necessary approval steps, it’s exciting to finally see our strategic vision to expand into this important emerging market coming to fruition.”
