Each year, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science draws attention to the researchers, clinicians, engineers and industry professionals whose contributions shape how medicine advances. Across STEM fields, women continue to drive meaningful progress in discovery, technology and patient care, often in disciplines that have historically underrepresented them.
In orthopedics specifically, that work is visible at every level: in surgical technique research, implant design, clinical education, regulatory science and beyond. The field is stronger for it, and the outcomes for patients reflect that.
At Ortho Development, we are proud to work alongside women whose expertise and leadership are central to what we do and how we grow. On this day, we recognize them, along with the broader community of women in science and healthcare who continue to raise the standard across the industry.
