Since 2017, Ortho Development has participated in medical missions to Honduras through our partnership with One World Surgery, providing total joint replacements at no cost to patients who have no other access to that level of surgical care. The results have been substantial: across multiple missions, our team has completed hundreds of procedures. On the most recent trip alone, 50 total knee replacements were performed at the Holy Family Surgery Center.
We are returning May 16-22 and are currently recruiting scrub techs and registered nurses to join the team. These missions depend on clinical volunteers who are competent, adaptable and willing to work in a resource-limited environment where the demand for care is real and the impact is immediate.
